| Very warm temperatures and some heavy rainfall means that unfortunately there will be no summer skiing at Whakapapa this year. Daily grooming work has been in progress in an effort to keep snow on the Valley T-Bar lift line and main trails but the summer melting was just too much. |

| Turoa is closed for skiing and snowboarding for the 2008 winter season. We hope you have had a great season with us and we look forward to seeing you in 2009. |

| Whakapapa opens its summer season this Saturday 20 December with sightseeing chairlift rides, rock climbing and guided walks to Mt Ruapehu's crater lake. There'll also be a great snow sliding park with toboggans for hire from Knoll Ridge Chalet. |
