Speed Camp

Two athletes from Turoa came for the weekend. Saturday was cloudy and raining however we went up to check it out. After a break in the cafe we heading down town to the gym for dryland and ski tuning which took up most of the day. We experimented with different waxes and overlays.

Sunday was much better and we skied all day. Flo took the boys into the terrain park to work through the rollers and jumps. This gave the guys a chance to work on pressing and absorbing terrain.

At lunch we had Branchline all setup and we were able to get six runs of SG in and some free-skiing on the hill at speed.

Overall we had a very productive weekend and the athletes learnt a lot about speed skiing and ski prep. We are looking forward to Labour weekend for another weekend of speed training.
