9/06/10

Snow Sports New Zealand (SSNZ), the National Sporting Organisation (NSO) representing snow sports, is seeking two new directors for appointment to the SSNZ Board.

SSNZ recently adopted a new constitution, integrating each of the snow sports into the NSO. The new constitution calls for an expansion of the Board from five to seven members.

It is desirable that applicants for these roles have demonstrated skills, experience and networks in the following areas;

- An understanding of good governance and leadership

- A commercial perspective, i.e. strong financial experience and general business skills

- An understanding of the youth market, preferably as it relates to snow sports

There is a gap in North Island representation on the current board therefore consideration will be give to those applicants with strong ties to the North Island and an understanding of the NI/Ruapehu market.

Please submit a CV and cover letter outlining qualifications to SSNZ Board Chair Rick Pettit (rick.pettit@xtra.co.nz) no later than 24 June 2010.
